This unit is all about learning to work with the time lasting material of wood. Wood has been used in some of the greatest creations throughout time, from homes and furniture to the Trojan horse, bird feeders and great sculptures such as Donatello's Mary Magdalene.
As well, students will continue to study composition and in their making, explore the elements of line, texture and form and how the principles of repetition, scale, pattern and movement guide their arrangement to make amped up and visually stimulating designs.
