BEGINNING 3D PROJECT PORTFOLIO Students will spend half of the semester learning how to think and make like a self-directed artist.
More choice in technique and compositional focus. More choice in subject and theme/concept. Students will work to find the passion in their learning by making their own problems to solve and finding the LOVE!
As a framework for this self directed study, students will work to create a portfolio of choice based artworks and present ideation, process of making and final product for each project in a shared online format (Google Slide Show, Website, Blog, etc.). All students will make 5 choice/passion focused pieces, using the following themes to direct their exploration:
In addition to choosing their conceptual problem of focus, student will choose a focus for technique, subject and compositional focus.
They will use this document to help them create a focus in each of these areas.
They can use this document if they need scaffolding for writing goals for area of focus.

Portfolio Choice Projects 5 and 6 will be extra credit, but only after you finish the other 4.
All final projects are due in wet stage by Monday, May 7 so that you have time to create your final portfolio presentation and present!
